The airstrip is very difficult to see from the air. The giveaway is the hangar at the farmhouse end of airstrip.
View from the Northern end. There are powerlines and (obviously) trees, so the approach from this end will only be if really necessary. In the distance is the Umkomaas River valley where Cecil John Rhodes had a cotton farm before moving on to the diamond fields in the 1800's.
The airstrip is 13m wide which requires quite a bit of concentration on both take-off and landing. There is still 300m of the runway unseen in the distance.
